Odyssey 31-PC2150S Drycell Battery
The Odyssey 31-PC2150S is a 12 volt 2150CA/1150CCA 100 Ah drycell battery w/ 5/16 stud terminals group size 31 found in many American and foreign made vehicles including police, fire rescue, and heavy truck vehicles. This 31-PC2150s Odyssey Battery is a dry cell AGM battery that has 2150 cranking amps and 1150 cold cranking amps. The Odyssey 31-PC2150S is a true deep cycle battery capable of being discharged and recharged over 400 times without any decrease in capacity making it one of the most best marine batteries for heavy drain. Odyssey’s design prevents the internal plates from corrosion and sulfating, the main cause for battery failure. The pure lead design allow is to be charged at up to 15.2 volts at 50 amps making for a very fast recharge. Any charger or alternator will be sufficient to charge the Odyssey 31-PC2150S. The “S” represents SAE a 5/16 stud terminal.
Twice the overall power and three times the service life of conventional batteries
Some batteries offer enormous cranking power. Others, deep cycle reserve power. Unbeatable ODYSSEY¬Æ Extreme Series™ batteries do both. Even at very low temperatures, ODYSSEY Extreme Series batteries have the power to provide engine-cranking pulses in excess of 2250 amps for 5 seconds ‚Äì double to triple that of equally sized conventional batteries. And they can handle 400 charge-discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge.
How so much power is possible
ODYSSEY Extreme Series batteries are made with flat plates made of 99.99% pure lead – not lead alloy. Pure lead plates can be made thinner, so we can fit more of them in the battery. More ODYSSEY battery plates mean more plate surface area. And that means more power – twice as much as conventional batteries.
Packed with more power
Like many popular spiral-wound batteries, ODYSSEY Extreme Series batteries employ dry cell Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology, allowing the battery to be installed even on its side. But the densely packed flat plates in an ODYSSEY Extreme Series battery avoid the “dead space” between cylinders in a “six pack” design. The result is 15% more plate surface area — and that translates to more power!
Phenomenal starting power and massive deep cycle reserve power in one battery!
Some batteries provide enormous cranking power. Others, deep cycle reserve power. The revolutionary ODYSSEY® battery is designed to do both.
How is this possible? The answer begins with flat plates made of 99.99% pure virgin lead – not lead alloy. Pure lead plates can be made thinner, so we can fit more of them in the battery. More ODYSSEY battery plates mean more plate surface area. And that means more power – twice as much as conventional batteries.
In fact, ODYSSEY batteries are capable of providing engine cranking pulses in excess of 2250 amps for 5 seconds – double to triple that of equally sized conventional batteries, even at very low temperatures. And they can handle 400 charge-discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge.
This extreme combination of power and performance makes ODYSSEY batteries perfect for a range of applications, including automotive/LTV, marine, commercial, and powersports.
